Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 2

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2
The Guardians are back in a fun-filled sequel, with lots more humour and attitude then before.  This movie is more centered around Star Lord (Chris Pratt)and the background of his father.  In the last movie, we heard about how Yondu didn't deliver Quill to his dad, and this movie builds on that.

After saving the Galaxy from Ronan, the Guardians decide to be "help for hire," and that usually means that they destroy or get rid of aliens or some other being that is stealing or killing people.  They are hired by the ruler of another planet (Elizabeth Debicki) to kill an alien who is stealing batteries. Unfortunately Rocket (Bradley Cooper), with all his character quirks, steals one of the batteries and then the whole fleet goes after them. Then a mystery star ship takes out the whole fleet with one blast; they crash land on a planet; and they meet Quill's dad.  Ego (Kurt Russell) is a celestial being who seemingly wants to improve the Galaxy.  Then Yondu (Michael Rooker) finds them, because the ruler of that other planet puts a bounty on their heads. Considering their history, Yondu agrees he will find them for the ruler and bring them to her.  Gamora (Zoe Saldana) decides that something is not right with Ego, and tells Rocket and Groot (Vin Diesel) to stay with the ship and with Nebula (Karen Gillan) to make sure that she doesn't escape.  While on Ego's planet Gamora starts to think that maybe something isn't right.  On the other hand, Drax seems to have grown fond of Ego's assistant, Mantis (Pom Kementieff). Back at the ship Rocket and Groot get kidnapped, by Yondu.  Unfortunately Yondu's whole ship commits mutiny, and throws him in the brig with Rocket and baby Groot.  They do get out eventually, kill a few people, get off the ship and find every one else on Ego's planet.

Guardians Of The Galaxy is a great movie, for everyone.  Quill finds his dad, everyone makes new friends, and Baby Groot gets even cuter! It's just as funny and filled with more of that old-school music than in the last one.
