Unwind: Book Review

 

Conner is a fifteen-year-old from Akron. He couldn't stand the fact that he was going to be Unwound because, and that his own parent didn't even tell him, so he ran away.  Risa lived in a state home all her life and was going to be Unwound because of budget cuts buts thanks to Conner, she got a second chance at life. Lev was a Tithe who got kidnaped by Conner and Rise, then decided to be a clapper then at the last minute saw the value of all the Unwinds in the Chop Shop he would kill. Conner, Risa and Lev all didn't want to be Unwound but that choice wasn't theirs, so they made it theirs and still the choice back.

Conner is from Akron, he found out that he was being Unwound by accident. He was in his dad’s office one day when he found three tickets to the Bahamas but when he looked deeper he found an Unwind order for him. With all this terrible information he ran away from his house, causing a big ascendant on the highway. Saving a tithe named Lev who even wants to be saved in the first place, as well as that he met Risa a fellow Unwind, after all, Connor, Risa and Lev go on the run. Connor sees a baby being storked and winds up taking the baby much to Risa’s dismay, then Lev snitches on them and all hell break's loose.  Connor and Risa getaway, but without Lev. they find a teacher that helped them get away before and she took the baby and helps them get away.  They win at the GraveYard which is a safe haven for Unwinds it finally dons on Connor that if it weren't for the people that they encountered all the millions of unwinding would die and be divided into many many pieces.

Risa is an orphan from an Ohio State Home.  About the time Connor ran away, Risa was on her way to being a professional pianist but all that was destroyed when she was told that she going to be Unwound because of a 5% decrease in the population, and Risa was chosen to be Unwound. She was taken right from the office onto the bus. Thanks to Conner though, she was saved from the Chop Shop.  On their way to the GraveYard, Connor and Risa meet some other Unwinds, one of which is Roland. Roland is power hungry bully who really doesn't like Connor, so kind of to get back at Conner he tries to rape Risa, but if not for Connor he would have.

Lev is a Jewish kid also from Akron, he was designated to be the Tithe in his family. On Lev's way to the Chop Shop Conner ran out in front of a car and kidnapped him, eventually, Lev snitched on them. But Lav felt bad about it, so he found a clapper named CyFy and turns to revenge. Along with some other clappers he attempts to blow up a chop shop, he changes his mind and saves people after the other clappers go boom boom.
